Acne Vulgaris

Acne Vulgaris, the commonest form of Acne, is caused owing to excessive release of normal oil on the skin, known as Sebum influenced by hormones. Its lesions can be witnessed in blackheads, whiteheads, pustules and papules (in case of mild/moderate acne vulgaris), and cysts and nodules (in case of severe acne vulgaris). Further, medications like cortisone, lithium, iodides, or isonaid can also cause acne to develop. As of date, there has been no remedy to treat acne. However, certain measures if taken properly could help in the prevention of additional breakouts. Since acne leads to scarring, the minimization of breakouts is essential
