Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia
Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (or ALL) can be best described as a malignant or harmful disease concerning the bone marrow, whereby the normal hematopoietic cells of the bone marrow are replaced with the inception of early lymphoid precursors. It is distinguishable by way of immunophenotype of the cells from other lymphoid disorders. Most prominent signs and symptoms of ALL include generalized weakness, fatigue, anemia, unreasonable fever, weight loss, loss of appetite, excessive bruising, pain in bones and joints, breathlessness, widened lymph nodes and liver or spleen, abdominal swelling and petechia (tiny, red spots on the skin because of low platelet levels).
