Adult Acne

Acne is a major cosmetic / skin problem faced by a majority of teenagers owing to increased hormonal fluctuations at that age. However, nowadays this problem is not only found in teens, but also adults who experience symptoms like increasing sensitivity, skin glands producing more oil, cells lining the hair follicles getting sticky and blocking the duct gradually. When the oil and dead skin cells cannot be gotten rid of, it forms the acne among adults in the form of blackheads and whiteheads. Some reports state that acne also arises due to genes from parents to children, stress and excessive use of oral contraceptive pills, consisting of progesterone.
