Alopecia Totalis
Alopecia Totalis refers to the complete loss of all hair of the head, possibly due to a tissue in an individual’s autoimmune system causing an autoimmune disorder. The autoimmune system directly attacks the hair follicles and prevents their growth. However, the other causes of the disease are not yet known. At times, excessive stress also contributes to Alopecia Totalis. Baldness and total loss of scalp hair are known symptoms of Alopecia Totalis. People affected by the disease generally get pragmatic over time, while some seek for remedies like wigs. Alternatively, the most known treatments of the disease include Methotrexate and Corticosteroids.
