Anal Fissure
Anal Fissure refers to a tiny tear along the lining of the anus, which causes bleeding, pain, and itching. Most anal fissures generally occur along the midline of the anus. This actually develops if there is damage to the anal tissue as a result of a hard bowel movement, tearing away the anal lining. Diarrhea and swelling of the anorectal area also causes an anal fissure. Many pregnant women during their delivery develop the problem. Other causes are anal intercourse, digital insertion and foreign body insertion. Known symptoms include burning sensation/pain and bright red blood release after a bowel movement, itching and malodorous discharge.
