Anal Skin Tag

Anal Skin Tags refer to the excess growth of skin in the anal area, particularly at those places that have been injured previously, or the growth has left some extra skin. It appears similar to the skin tags on the neck, eyelids and under the armpits, with the same color of that of the skin or slightly darker. Anal skin tags could be attached to the anus, or close to it, with a small tissue releasing blood to the cells in the tags. They do not have any particular symptoms, and are harmless, although may cause irritation, pain or some itching when rubbed or due to friction. Laser surgery and Ligation are two popular treatments to all forms of skin tags.
