Angular Cheilitis
Angular cheilitis is a chronic inflammatory condition where the angles of the mouth are infected. This condition is has many factors with many triggers and infuriating symptoms. The most common reason for the formation of Angular Cheilitis is excessive dryness or wetness of the lips. Some frequently done habits such as thumb sucking in children or lip licking may lead to angular cheilitis.The other possible reasons are the use of denture, flossing, sagging skin which lead to overhanging lips or cheeks or with too much or too little saliva. The formation of angular cheilitis can be avoided by alternating the drying and wetting of the lips.
