Aplasia Cutis Congenita
The Aplasia Cutis Congenita is a condition in which case certain skin portion of the baby is gone from the time of birth. This occurs in the scalp most of the time and in certain cases it may occur in form of multiple lesions. These bare non inflammatory occurrences and can cause immense discomfort. They may look linear, stellate, circular or oval in shape. The Aplasia Cutis Congenita may be caused before birth and at times it may get healed by the time the baby is born. It is a sort of benign isolated defect but it has a strong resemblance with other physiological anomalies or malformation syndromes.
