Balanoposthitis
Balanoposthitis is mainly a disease caused in dogs. It happens due to a disruption in the integumentary system and in this case a wound or an intrusion takes place due to a foreign body. When this occurs you won’t find the dog behaving abnormally. He would just keep on licking the concerned area by trying to put away the yellowish puss formation. The discharge may occur frequently causing a sort of discomfort for the creature.
Balanoposthitis is also caused in sheep and in this case it is being termed as ulcerative enzootic balanoposthitis. The condition takes place due to the presence of the Corynebacterium renale group and it is often referred to as the “pizzle rot”.
