Before And After Acne
Acne is a skin disease where the formation of whiteheads, blackheads and inflamed red bumps take place. These red bumps are known as pimples or zits. When the tiny pores on the skin’s surface called pore, get clogged, acne occurs on the skin. Each pore is open to a hair containing follicle and secretes oil glands. When the glands are produced in excess, the pore gets clogged thus helping the buildup of dirt, bacteria and other foreign substances. This blockage of the pores is called a plug. The top of the plug may result in formation of blackheads or whiteheads. If the plug ruptures, the material inside it cause inflammation and red bumps form on them which may even result in forming painful cysts if inflammation is deep. The common symptoms are the appearance of pustules, papules, cysts, whiteheads, blackheads, redness around skin eruptions and scarring.
