Blackhead Acne

 

Blackhead acnes, also called open comedones, are pores that are wider than normal opening. These open pores are filled with sebum and dead cell and have undergone chemical changes thus resulting in the oxidation of melanin. Therefore, the pore gets it typical black color. Blackhead acne is formed as the same way as pimples. Normally, the sebaceous gland produces oil known as sebum which tries to make way to the surface if the skin through the pore. However, sometimes there are blockages due to dirt or debris or hardening of the oil which causes the pore to clog. This is how blackheads are formed.
