Blood Cell
The Blood Cell ,the other name for which is hematocyte is a kind of cell which can be discerned in the blood of the mammals. The blood cells come in three essential varieties. These include the red blood cells (Erythrocytes), the white blood cells (Leukocytes) and the platelets (Thrombocytes). The three of them together forms the 45% of the blood tissue. The red Blood Cell is responsible for carrying oxygen and it may even have some content of carbon dioxide and this takes place through haemoglobin which stays alive for at least 120 days time. The white blood cells form a part of the innate immune system and they can stay alive for years without getting destroyed. The platelets have a role to play in blood coagulation and they can last up to 9 days.
