Chronic Pyelonephritis

 

Chronic Pyelonephritis develops slowly. If untreated. It can lead to renal failure. It is often associated with a kidney stone or with narrowing of the urinary passageways. This is caused by persistent renal infection. It occurs almost in patients with major anatomic anomalies, such as urinary tract obstruction, struvite calculi, or renal dysplasia, although it occurs most commonly in young children with vesicoueteral reflux (VUR).
Symptoms of this Diseases of Chronic PyelonephritisThis terrible disease may be followed by fever, accelerated heart pain radiating to the back, nausea, and tenderness at the costovertebral angle on the affected side. It may be accompanied by signs of septic shock, including rapid breathing, decreased blood pressure, violent shivering, and occasional delirium.

Treatment: A kidney infection is treated with an appropriate antibiotic taken for several weeks.
