Claw Hand

 

Claw hand is a particular condition which causes bent or curved fingers of a person, making the hand appear similar to the claw of an animal. Claw hand is generally inhibited from the birth time (a congenital disease), or otherwise due to some disorders like nerve injury. Thus, the most known causes of claw hand include congenital abnormality, nerve damage in the arm, and scars formed post severe burns of the hand of forearm. Claw hand’s treatment would depend upon the cause of the deformity and accordingly, splinting, surgery for fixing nerve problems or scar tissue, and therapy for straightening up the fingers may be recommended.
