Cradle Cap

Cradle Cap is a patchy, scaly, greasy and crusty skin rash, yellowish in color, which erupts on the scalp of the newly born babies, though it does not bother the baby and is not itchy. Also known by the names of crusta lacteal and neonatal seborrhoeic dermatitis, cradle cap usually starts in the initial three months of a baby. In older children, similar symptoms reflect in dandruff instead of cradle cap. The rash mainly occurs around the ear, eyelids or eyebrows. If it occurs in other locations also, it is referred to as seborrhoeic dermatitis (in place of cradle cap).
