Discoid Lupus Erythematosus

 

Discoid Lupus Erythematosus is an autoimmune disorder affecting skins of human bodies especially on nose and cheeks. It causes skin rashes or lesions and photosensitive inflammatory patches. There is even loss of hair and pigments. The cause of this disease is not really known to dermatologists but the probable reasons might be exposure to sunlight and cigarette smoking. It is more common in women than men. Skin rashes are the common symptoms of this disease. These rashes are disk shaped lesions of red colour and usually they are not itchy.
