Epidermolysis Bullosa

Epidermolysis bullosa refers to a group of inherited skin disorders caused due to minor injury. Primarily, there are four kinds of epidermolysis bullosa, viz. dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, epidermolysis bullosa simplex, hemidesmosomal epidermolysis bullosa, and junctional epidermolysis bullosa. Epidermolysis bullosa acquisita is another autoimmune disorder and is similar to mucous membrane pemphigoid, which is also an autoimmune skin disorder. Epidermolysis bullosa indicates minor skin blistering, or a lethal form that involves excessive sweating. Common symptoms include hair loss, blisters around nose, eyes, throat and the mouth, tooth decay, cough or breathing problems, deformed nails, tiny white bumps or pimples, and blisters on the skin due to temperature change or minor injury.
