Ewing’s Sarcoma

Ewing’s sarcoma is a cancerous or malignant bone tumor which is mostly found in children, anytime during their childhood, and in young adulthood (rarely in adults), but mostly develops during puberty at the time of when bones grow at a rapid pace. It may occur anywhere in the body, but usually in the long bones of the legs and arms, the chest or the pelvis. At times, it also arises in the skull or the flat bones of the trunk. The most common symptom of the tumor is pain and swelling where the tumor lies. Ewing’s Sarcoma can be well treated through chemotherapy, radiation therapy, or surgical excision of the primary tumor.
