Folliculitis on Penis
Folliculitis refers to an inflammation or swelling of the hair follicle, representing as itchy or tender pustules and papules. Mostly occurring in humid climates and particularly among black Africans, folliculitis is usually caused due to the re-growth of shaved hair into the skin. Folliculitis on the penis or penis folliculitis is one of the several forms of folliculitis that normally appear on the head of the penis, called the glans, as flesh-colored bumps with the size of the head of a pin, and are slightly lighter in color than the skin color. Penis folliculitis is not itchy or harmful, yet may stay throughout the life, but the color fades away over time.
