Ganglion Cyst
A ganglion cyst is a swelling on the covering of a tendon or the top of a joint. Ganglion cyst is characterized by a thick, clear, sticky, colorless fluid filled inside a sac. The cyst may be hard or tender, depending on the size.Ganglion cyst usually appears on the back of the hand, at the wrist joint or the palm side of the wrist. When noticed on the back of the wrist, the cyst becomes more prominent when the wrist is bent forward. The other usually spotted sites are:
- The fingertip below the cuticle
- Finger’s base on the palm
- Top of the foot
- On the knee and ankle
