Herpes

Herpes is an infection caused as a result of herpes simplex virus (HSV). There are two different types of HSV namely type 1 and 2. These viruses can cause severe sores in the mouth known as cold sores. Sores caused on the genitals are known as genital herpes.Herpes are contracted when kissing someone already having a cold sore. Herpes can occur in the genital area if a person has oral sex with someone who already has cold sores. Touching the sores can cause herpes to occur in the mouth, eyes and genital areas. Herpes can be passed to a newborn baby if the mother already ahs herpes during her pregnancy period. A doctor can give medication in order to control the spread of herpes.
