Hutchinson’s Freckle

Hutchinson’s Freckle is a pre-cancerous skin condition, which is characterized by tan patch on the skin that grows gradually only to become dark, thick, mottled and nodular. The signs can be mostly found in old aged people, which begin as a small dark brown spot on the facial skin of the individual. In the midst of many different maculae, there could be concurrent expansion and regression that later combines to form abnormal pigmentation of 10cms in diameter. Hutchinson’s freckle may become malignant as a result of conversion of the existing sepia spot into papules, verrucae and ulceration, in about 10 years.
