Idiopathic Guttate Hypomelanosis

 

This is found in women more frequently than man, it is a disorder that produces lesions in skin and forearm. Generally occurring after the age of 40, its prevalence gradually increases with age. It gives a benign, harmless condition of depigmentation.
Symptoms may be the presence of white mocules which are small in size(2-5 mm); they may be flat, discrete, mild scaly or oval in shape. Generally occur on the body parts exposed to sunlight.In some cases the symptom is found to be genetic. Exact treatment of the disorder is not yet found. So precautionary measures like protection from sun may help.
