Intraductal Carcinoma
It is a noninvasive type of earliest form of breast cancer. Here cancerous cells start growing in the milk duct part of the breast. As it is noninvasive in nature, it doesn’t affect the other parts of the breast. The condition may lead to a thickening (lump) near the breast, change in shape/size of breasts, nipple tenderness or changed appearance of the areola. To detect the condition mostly breast screening may help. Also mammograms can be used to identify the situation. The complication with this carcinoma is that it lacks early symptoms. The specific cause of the condition is still unknown. Mastectomy used to be the main treatment of this disease.
