Lazy Eye

Lazy Eye, medically termed as Amblyopia, refers to a visual disorder that signifies a vision deficiency in an eye, which is otherwise normal physically, but has constant blurred vision. In case of lazy eye, the visual stimulation is either badly transmitted through optic nerve to the brain constantly, or fails to transmit only. It may also occur when the brain stops the processing of one eye, to prevent double vision, often observed in case of strabismus (crossed eyes). Lazy eye is mostly witnessed in early childhood causing poor vision, if detected then (before 5 years of age), can give successful treatment results.
