The general symptoms of Leukemia include being anemic, poor blood clotting, persistent headache, tiredness, nausea, frequent fever and flu. Leukemia can only be diagnosed by conducting blood test. Leukemia can be either acute or chronic in nature. Acute leukemia produces immature cells more rapidly while in Chronic Leukemia the immature cells are produced in long term. It is the most commonly occurring type of cancer in children. The exact reason for its occurrence still remains unknown with research considering various risk factors like prolonged exposure to radiation, smoking, previous chemotherapy and family history.
