Liposarcoma

It is condition of malignancy of fat cells. These cells are generally present in soft tissues such as that in thighs. People aging around 50-55 are generally found to be affected by this. Normally it is painless and slowly enlarging but sometimes it grows rapidly and becomes ulcerated early. They occur in 5 categories viz. well-differentiated, dedifferentiated, myxoid, roundcell and pleomorphic.Patients can feel the lumped mass in their soft tissue. When tumors are large, symptoms of pain or discomfort may occur. The tumor may compress the kidney or uterus leading to kidney failure. Annually 2.5 cases occur per million populations.
