Lung Cancer

It is the cancer that starts in lungs. There are two major type of lung cancer: non-small cell lung cancer (most common type of cancer) and small cell lung cancer. If the cancer has originated from other part of the body then it is called metastatic cancer to the lung. The leading cause is cigarette smoking, making it the deadliest type of cancer. Some other cause includes high air pollution, high arsenic level in drinking water, asbestos, family history of the disease and exposure chemicals such as uranium, coal products, beryllium etc. symptoms are coughing up blood, shortness of breath, loss in apetite. Chemotherapy, radiation, surgery are some common treatments.
