Neisseria

Neisseria is generally transmitted through sexual contact, can be passed at the time of child birth to the child. This can be avoided by safe sexual practices. In males, the symptoms can be visible in 5 days’ time whereas for females it will take up to 30 days. Sometimes there won’t be any symptoms for females making it difficult to diagnosis. This can be diagnosed using a gram stain test, which will turn red if the bacteria are present. This can be treated through antibiotics and there is a range of treatments available to treat the same. Men have the symptoms after the treatment too; treating with different antibiotics will solve this type of problem.
