Oral Gonorrhea
Also termed pharyngeal gonorrhea, it is defined as a sexually transmitted disease of the pharynx by bacteria (Gram-negative bacteria) named ‘Neisseria gonorrhoeae’. These bacteria are round-shaped. The bacteria discharges yellow pus like fluid, coming in contact of with, the infection gets transmitted. Infection is transmitted by oral sex. The pus containing the bacteria mixes with a person’s vaginal fluids, seminal fluids, or mucus membranes near the anus and rectum that come in contact with the other person’s oral mucus membranes, while performing oral sex. Antibiotics are a useful tool for infections, but it is not much affective.
