Pearly Penile Papules

Pearly penile papules or Hirsuties coronae glandis are tiny bumps that circle the rim of the glans (head of the penis). They are flesh-colored or may be a little lighter than that and have a dome shape. They also form in a straight row, just like a string of pearls. It does not have any harmful effects, however some sensitivity may be noticed while having sex or while performing other activities. These bumps are mostly seen among men aged in twenties and thirties. There are high occurrences of this condition in uncircumcised men. These bumps may appear and disappear on their own throughout the lifetime. Since they are harmless, picking or trying to pop them must be avoided.
