Peyronie’s
A hard lump or a plaque formed inside the penis is termed as Peyronie’s disease. The bottom or the top of penis inside tunica albuginea is a thick membrane that covers the erectile tissue, is generally seen to have developed the scar or the plaque. Initially inflammation occurs and results to a hard scar. This disease generally develops from bending or hitting of the penis. This results in internal bleeding and damage to the tunica albuginea. The inflammation is trapped in between the layers of this tissue and the cells discharge substances that causes excessive elasticity and forms a hard fibrous tissue which eventually results to plaque. This process results in the development of too much of scar tissues that eventually cause calcification and deformity of the penis.
