Pityriasis Rosea

 

A common type of skin rash appears in most of the young adults and they are termed as Pityriasis Rosea. This is found to be totally a viral infection and generally occurs in the spring season. This disease is not contagious so as to spread from one person to another. Initially a single patch appears on the skin and gradually that will spread in hands, back, chest and legs. They are pale red or pink in color and are of oval shape. Sometimes they are scaly and follow the lines of the skin in a pyramid manner. Infected person may have an itching sensation. Mild infection can be left under home medication but in severe cases a through diagnosis is required.
