Pubic Bone
The anterior and ventral part of three main bones composing the both halves of the pelvis is defined as pubic bone or the pelvic girdle. This is present in both males and females and in the case of females the urethral sponge is posterior to the pubic bone. The Pelvis of the males can be easily differentiated from that of a female by its structural difference. In females the pelvic girdle has a joint in between the two bones known as pubic symphysis and it softens during the time of pregnancy and at the time of delivery it opens enough to provide enough space for creating a passage for the baby through the birth canal.
