Seborrheic Keratosis

The round or oval slightly elevated or flat growths on the skin that resemble warts are termed as Seborrheic Keratosis. This is benign in nature and originated from the Keratinocytis and looks more like liver spots. This is seen more often at the old age and is of various colors that range from tan to black. There is no valid reason as to what causes this growth but since it happens more in the exposed part of the body the ultra violet ray may play a part for the growth. Sometimes these growths can be a symptom for the gastrointestinal malignancies. Sometimes it runs in the families so inheritance can also be a cause for the growth.
