Turner Syndrome

Turner Syndrome which is also called Gonadal Dysgenesis is a disease found in female. In this disease the entire X chromosome is missing. This condition is also known as Monosomic Condition. It is the abnormality of chromosomes where few or all parts of the sex chromosomes are missing. Usually there is two X chromosomes carried by the females but in this case either one of these is missing or there is some abnormality. The chance of occurring Turner Syndrome is 1 in 2000 to 5000 females. It can cause some physical abnormalities like swelling, low hairline, broad chest, short stature, webbed necks and low set-ears
