Vernal Conjunctivitis

 

Vernal conjunctivitis is long term swelling of the outer lining of eyes because of an allergic effect. If there is a family history of allergies like asthma, allergic rhinitis and eczema, the chances of Vernal conjunctivitis get high. It commonly occurs during the summer and spring. There are some symptoms of vernal conjunctivitis such as burning eyes, itching eyes, Watering eyes, Discomfort in light, swollen and rough Limbus. Once you identify this, rubbing eyes should be avoided as it may irritate them more. Cold compresses can give sootiness. Lubricating drops can also aid soothe eyes. If home-care does not help you much, you should consult a doctor.
