West Nile Virus

West Nile virus (WNV) is a kind of virus. It belongs to the family Flaviviridae which is the element of the Japanese encephalitis (JE) antigenic compound of viruses. This is appeared in both temperate as well as tropical regions. It mostly infects birds, though is identified to infect bats, chipmunks, skunks, domestic rabbits, crows, robins, horses, dogs, cats, squirrels, crocodiles, alligators and even, humans. It generally affects human through mosquitoes’ bite. West Nile Virus infects human, but there is no symptoms of it. The West Nile Virus creates one of three various results in humans. They are asymptomatic infection; mild febrilesyndrome known as West Nile Fever; neuroinvasive disease named as West Nile encephalitis or meningitis.
