• The cardio vascular system of the body is responsible for transporting the blood of arteries, veins and muscles.
• It carries oxygen and essential nutrients to various parts of the body and eradicated the harmful waste products from the body tissues.
• The heart is responsible for pumping blood through arteries and blood vessels to different parts of the body.
• The impure blood returns to the heart through the veins.
• The only arterial vessels that carry deoxygenated blood are the pulmonary arteries.
• Blood makes full trip around the body in about one minute.
• The heart is the most important part of this system which is about the size of a human fist and situated at the left of the chest.
• The heart needs a constant supply of oxygen which is supplied by the blood.
