Cellulitis Foot
Foot cellulitis is an infection of the skin on the foot which is usually characterized by redness, swelling, warmth and pain. It is caused by different types of bacteria of which the most affecting ones are streptococcus or staphylococcus. These bacteria enter the skin through breaks or cracks in the skin of the person. The break or crack on the skin can occur from scratch, cut or insect bite. The breaks in the skin can also occur from heel fissure, boils or burns. The typical sign of foot cellulitis infection is the appearance of red spots on the feet.
