Dialysis

Dialysis which is primarily used as an artificial replacement of lost kidney function. It is a life saving treatment for those who are at the end stage of kidney failure. But in dialysis treatments the patient may experience certain side effects. In peritoneal dialysis, catheter is inserted into the patient abdomen. The exchange of dialysis fluid must be done very carefully. Otherwise it may spread infection. The frequent use of catheter may results in an increased risk of infection. Sometimes this infection may threaten the life of the patient. Thus frequent dialysis can cause serious problem for the patient.
