Ileostomy

Ileostomy is a small opening in your abdominal wall made during the surgery. The smallest intestine, the lower side of the ileum is taken to the opening which is formed into a stoma on the right side of your abdomen. When a rectum or colon is removed or bypassed waste doesn’t come out through the anus or rectum, instead it comes out through the stoma. This is done for various conditions and diseases. This surgery is also done for persons who have constant bowel problems. Living with Ileostomy may be a difficult in the beginning but by following proper guidelines you will be able to live a normal life.
