Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa

 

Junctional epidermolysis bullosa is considered as a major type of epidermolysis bullosa which makes the skin to blister easily and fragile. This will form due to friction, minor injury, scratching or rubbing. Junctional epidermolysis bullosa is classified into Herlitz JEB and non-herlitx JEB. This differs based on the severity and can be caused due to the mutations in the genes. Former one is severe and will be from birth, the persons who are effected with this have blisters in the body. This will affect the mucous membrane like the digestive tract or the moist lining in the mouth which will make you difficult to digest and eat food leading to malnutrition.
