Liver Disease
The liver, supporting almost every organ of the body, is very necessary for survival. Liver disease is any condition that causes liver inflammation or tissue damage and affects liver function. It is categorized by both cause and the effect it has on liver. The most common diseases are infections such as hepatitis A, B, C, E, alcohol damage, cirrhosis and drug damage.Many diseases lead to jaundice. Some other effects may include inflammation, scarring, obstructions, clotting abnormalities, and liver failure. There may be symptoms if the liver is diseased. Its diagnosis may be performed by liver function tests like production of acute phase proteins.
