Multiple Myeloma

This is a kind of cancer that affects the plasma cells that is a kind of white blood cell which is found in the bone marrow. In general the plasma cells will make antibodies that help you in fighting infections. Multiple Myeloma is when myeloma cells multiplies and increase the number of the plasma cells than the normal level. As these cells make antibodies the increase in protein level may rise. This will affect the immune system, bones and kidneys. If there is no symptoms treatment is not necessary but proper monitoring is a must. If you have symptoms pain relievers can control the pain and help you in slowing down the process.
