Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease is a condition of the brain. This condition leads to tremors and difficulty while walking and movement. This disease usually develops after the age of 50. It is considered to be a disorder of the nervous system among elderly. The nerve cells make use of a chemical in the brain known as dopamine which helps in controlling muscle movement. Parkinson’s disease develops when the dopamine producing cells of the brain are destroyed. In the absence of dopamine, the nerve cells in the affected portion of the brain cannot send messages. This ultimately results in loss of muscle function.
