Pheochromocytoma
The tumours of the adrenal glands are termed as Pheochromocytoma. These composite endocrine glands are located on top of the two kidneys and are responsible for hormone secretion. Different cells of the adrenal glands secrets different hormone that plays their individual parts. The cells of the adrenal medulla secrete hormones like catecholamines, norepinephrine, epinephrine and dopamine. These are responsible for the sensation of the flash of adrenaline when people are terrified. These are the cells that are generally infected by this disease and develops tumor. The symptoms mainly include high BP, fast rate of heart beat, anxiety, sweating, nausea, headache, abdominal pain, weakness and above all weight loss. This can be genetic and are carried from parents to their children.
