Ringworm
Ringworm refers to a fungal infection that grows into worms as the name suggests. This is most common in children although it can infect people in all ages. This is a contagious disease and is transferable even through combs and infected skin areas. Even in some cases the pets can transfer this infection to the humans. This is a sort of skin –fungi and they stay in the dead protein layer of the skin. The mucous membranes like vagina or mouth are not ideal places for their survival as they rarely attack deep inside the body. Some of these fungi are found in skin, nails or hair, some are found in the soil and also some are found in the animals. So it is very hard to understand where the infection came from.
