Small Pox

Small Pox is a very acute disease and contagious in nature. This is caused by a virus called variola. Initially it was the most devastating disease known that had its fatal effects on human race. This is a disease that was believed to be infant killer and those who survived had deep scar marks on face along with permanent blindness. This disease is of two forms- variola minor and variola major. There are also two rare forms also and they are hemorrhagic & malignant. In the foremost type the rash is added with hemorrhage of the skin. In case of malignant pox it does not develop in to pustule and remains flat and soft which is invariably fatal.
