Thyroid Cancer

 

Thyroid Cancer is referred to as a particular form of cancer that incepts within the thyroid gland, situated inside the front side of the lower neck of the body. It may occur in any age, especially people having been treated with radiation therapy on their neck during their childhood times, stand greater chances of developing thyroid cancer. Radiation therapy has been a common treatment technique during the 1950s for treating enlarged thymus glands, skin disorders, and adenoids and tonsils. Other risk factors include family history of the disease and also chronic goiter. Thyroid cancer is of four kinds: Anaplastic carcinoma, Follicular carcinoma, Medullary carcinoma, and Papillary carcinoma. Symptoms include cough, thyroid gland enlargement, difficulty in swallowing, neck inflammation, hoarseness in voice, and thyroid lump.
